Access to Tignes
To reach Tignes, several transportation options are available: by train to Bourg St Maurice station, followed by a shuttle or taxi, by car with direct access via the road, or by bus with regular connections from major train stations.

Bus
Bus transportation is provided by regular lines departing from Bourg St Maurice, Chambéry, as well as the airports of Geneva, Lyon, and Grenoble.

Car
The Tignes resort is located 35 minutes from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, in the Savoie department, in the Northern Alps. It takes 2 hours from Chambéry, 2 hours 10 minutes from Grenoble, and 3 hours from Lyon to reach Tignes.
From Chambéry, take the A43 and A430 highways, or from Grenoble, take the A41 and A430 highways to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, followed by the D1090 and D902 towards Tignes.
If you're using a GPS, it may suggest taking the Col du Petit Saint Bernard or the Col de l'Iseran. Keep in mind that these mountain passes are closed in winter !

Train
Tignes is one of the best-connected Alpine resorts by train, with direct links from Paris, London, Brussels, Grenoble, and Lyon.
The nearest station is Bourg St Maurice, about 40 minutes away by bus or taxi.
The journey is quick: Paris is 4 hours away by TGV, and London just over 8 hours by direct Eurostar. Traveling by train is an eco-friendly option that reduces your carbon emissions while protecting the mountains.
TGV, Eurostar, and Thalys trains arrive daily at Bourg St Maurice, 30 km from Tignes. To reach Tignes, shuttles, rental cars, or taxis are available.
